HOW TO TAKE FREE & DISCOUNTED CLASSES
Please see guidelines below on how to sign up for classes during NYC Dance Week. You may not use Front Desk to sign up for the classes (it's for viewing schedule only) being offered by the participating studios. It is only for the Fitness Labs. If the studio requires it (check their special instructions), please sign up with them directly.

Step 3. Print out the pass you receive in the registration confirmation e-mail from Eventbrite and bring to participating studio. Depending on the studio, it may be collected but you may print as many times as you want.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. All the classes are first-come, first-served. Some classes require advanced reservations with the studio.
2. Some classes have restrictions (i.e. New students only).
3. Please read the studios’ special instructions, i.e. RSVP required.
4. Call the studio directly for questions on what to wear, bring, etc. and to confirm the class. Sometimes we do not get notified when their schedule changes.

Injury Prevention Workshop by Harkness Center for Dance Injuries

The Harkness Center's Injury Prevention Workshop provides information to the dance community on all aspects of physical and psychosocial well-being, to encourage healthy and safe training for career longevity. In this workshop, you will learn about Balance and the Spine, taught by Marijeanne Liederbach, PhD, PT, with guest instructors from Pilobolus and Mark Morris Dance Center.

Dance Week participants are also invited to watch performances of new dance works at a special showcase by its sister project, NYC10, at Dixon Place on Wednesday, June 21st. 10 selected emerging choreographers /studio instructors and dance companies will be performing for up to 10 mins and the audience and reviewers will provide feedback of their work to them.
Dancer for a Day Program

Dancer for a Day is a NYC Dance Week initiative that provides inner-city youth facing a unique challenge with the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a professional dancer. In its third year, Dancer for a Day will choose up to 20 youth, ages 10-15, to participate in a day filled with class taking, a nutritional workshop, lunch, a private performance by and Q&A with a NYC10 dance company.
