NW Dance Project - Fall Performances

NW Dance Project - Fall Performances
Event ended

NW Dance Project opens its 14th season with its eyes focused on the international world of contemporary dance. One of Canada’s most acclaimed and accomplished choreographers, Wen Wei Wang, has created a new, visually and emotionally stunning work for NW Dance Project, "You Are All I See", which highlights each of the company’s eleven current dancers in unique and unforgettable ways. Also on the program are two repertoire pieces recently performed to standing ovations at the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival - Felix Landerer’s "Post-Traumatic-Monster" (2016) and Jirí Pokorný’s "At Some Hour You Return" (2014).

These performances mark the debuts of new dancers Katherine Disenhof and Anthony Pucci.

After wowing Portland audiences for seven years, these will be the final NW Dance Project performances for celebrated dancer and teacher Ching Ching Wong, who won a Princess Grace Award in 2015 and was named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in January 2017.

OCT 19, 20, 21 / 2017 / 7:30pm / Lincoln Performance Hall (PSU)
