Description: Childhood obesity rates in Nevada will be discussed and the benefits of healthy nutrition relating to obesity will be shared. Various activities will be conducted to allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of healthy choices and how to build a curriculum involving healthy foods into their curriculum plans. Participants will learn the benefits of a nutrition policy, including breastfeeding and how to implement healthy nutrition in their centers from day one.  

*This training can be taken to meet the Child Nutrition/Wellness training requirement. Wellness training must be completed annually.
