NRA Refuse To Be A Victim (RTBAV) Course

The single most important step toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a victim. Topics include: Mental Preparedness: Prepare yourself for any situation that may arise Home Security: Securing what's inside your house, as well as outside your house Physical Security: Don't ignore your instincts - if something feels wrong, it probably is! Travel Security: Making sure you are safe no matter where you are Cyber Security: Technological advances have made individuals more vulnerable to being victimized Self-Defense Training: Learn what types of training you can take to protect yourself Automobile Security: Equip yourself with the necessities for any type of situation Personal Defense Devices: Tools that you can use for personal protection Psychology of Criminals: Understand what makes a criminal a predator These are small, intimate classes taught by husband and wife team—both former law enforcement officers, mature professionals with substantial firearms experience. By Registering for this Class You Signify that You Understand and Agree to the Following:  You must be at least 13 years old (If you are between 13 & 17, a parent must accompany you throughout the class) You must not be prohibited by Florida or Federal laws from legally possessing a firearm All students are required to sign a liability waiver at the beginning of the class There are no refunds. If you are unable to attend the class session you have signed up for, your fees will be applied towards another session of the same class within 12 months. If you do not attend another session within 12 months, then your fees are forfeited. If for some reason we are forced to cancel the class session you are registered for, you can either obtain a complete refund or you can select another date for that class and we will refund 10% of your payment.   FAQs   Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the class? You must be at least 13 years old and will be required to present your valid driver's license or government issued ID card. Anyone 13-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent for the duration of the class, whether the parent is taking the class or not. Absolutely no children are permitted at the facility.   Can I record the class?
