Inspired by a vibrant and colorful entertainment scene, Nitecap! will highlight local comedians, thinkers, doers, musicians and the other weirdos we find along the way. Part comedy show, part interview show and part musical performance, Nitecap! unites three entertainment staples under one fun roof at Empire in Portland every fourth Friday of the month. The first show will be on February 23rd and features comedian Josh Day, a conversation with rapper Spose and music from Pretty Sad, featuring Portland Phoenix award-winner Renee Coolbrith.
The whole night will be backed up by house band/co-host Nic Robes, a comedian, performer and musician whose podcast What’s With You, Scooby-Doo? covers all things Scoobydalia.
Also featured in the evening: comedians Jim Martin and Ali Simpson, a special accordion performance from Mike Levinsky and a music video filmed by local filmmakers.
Guests in the months ahead include musicians Samuel James and Dana Gross, local mover and shaker Alex Steed, and comedians Connor McGrath, Ian Stuart, Micaela Tepler and Jaime Roux.
