Inspired by a love of dance and connection, Journey moves your spirit and form through space with the push of beats and the invitation of melody. From organic world beats to ambient chill, deep house to global base... each set is nourishingly familiar yet cravingly unique. Founder of Nexus Ecstatic Dance Amherst and Co-founder of I-Opener Dance Boston, she also works with Mandala Dance, Ecstatic Dance NYC, Dance New England, and several festival organizations around the world. She plays for ecstatic dances, contact improv jams, music & art festivals, guided journeys, yoga workshops, Daybreaker, and more... providing a range of experiences from warm up morning flow to high-vibe midnight peak. She loves traveling and adores taking dancers on a wave of creative expression and connective discovery!

▬ ★ WARMUP Luminus ★ ▬
Luminus (aka. Marek Tresnak) is an international DJ and facilitates events and workshops throughout New England and around the world. He has over eleven years of experience working as a Focusing therapist and has extensive training in Internal Family Systems. He's passionate about discovering places in the body that hold distress, accessing them and allowing them to heal through self-love and creative expression. As a DJ he plays a colorful mix of world fusion, balancing electronic & organic flavors for ecstatic dances, CI jams & festivals. Luminus aims for dance journeys that work out all of your brain lobes and engage your body, mind and spirit. He'll be using a mix of music and guidence to invite us into our bodies and inspire our entrance into dance.

▬ ★ SOUND SCAPING Glenn Smith ★ ▬
Glenn has been performing since the 80's, starting with drum kit and since expanding to strings, piano, voice, and other noise-makers. He has played for dance jams, dance and theatre performances, festivals, schools, house concerts, yoga and qi gong classes, etc. Recent vocal work includes solo improv acapella looping at the New England Fringe Fest and the Y2K Int'l Live Looping Festival 4 years in a row, as well as leading "Vocal Voyagers" improv singing circles in the community.
