Taught by a reference specialist and designed as a basic introduction, each hour-long session includes a tour of the reading room, procedures on how to locate and request materials, and a demo using various equipment such as microfilm scanners. Online databases that contain full-text newspapers such as "America's Historical Newspapers," "ProQuest Newspapers," "Chronicling America," and more will also be demonstrated.
Orientations are held on-site on the fourth Tuesday of every month (except December) with the maximum class size of 10.
