Earl is a Community Development Specialist with Finger Lakes Prevention Resource Center in Rochester, NY; providing training and technical assistance to 22 coalitions in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, covering 12 counties. Earl has over 35 years of experience in community engagement and mobilization in both Rochester, NY and Boston, MA where he worked extensively in mental health, violence prevention, gangs, youth leadership development, social justice and advocacy, cultural diversity and inclusion. He is the founder and director of the Family Life Center in Newark, NY. He is a certified facilitator for Racial Justice Work through the Interaction Institute for Social Change in Boston, MA, President of the Wayne Action for Racial Equality (W.A.R.E.) organization, and a Nationally Certified Anger Management Specialist/Fellow through the National Anger Management Association, (NAMA). He is also a Professional Mediator & Arbitrator with the Center for Dispute Settlement in Rochester, NY, a Guest Instructor for “Renewing the Mind” Initiative through the Office of Mental Health Promotion at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a Professional Development Training Consultant. He holds a Masterʼs Degree in Counseling Psychology.
