“Just in Time” at Au Lac, Bar Fedora

LOS ANGELES, CA --- In Hollywood, everyone waits for their ‘close-up.’ For Veteran Entertainment Personality/Author Nelson Aspen, the long-awaited turn will spin the microphone to a One Night Only performance spotlight, Thursday June 21, 2018 at 8 p.m. with his cabaret show, "Just in Time," at the showroom at Au Lac, Bar Fedora (710 West 1st Street, Los Angeles 90012). The show will feature Musical Director Mitchell Kaplan and his band as well as a surprise guest star.

A fixture on Hollywood’s red carpet every award season, Nelson has interviewed hundreds of A-list celebrity performers, and is known to millions of international TV fans on Australia's #1 rated "Sunrise" as their Show Business Editor. Performing as a child actor since the age of 8, and later hitting the screen in ISHTAR, OFF BEAT, and TV's long running SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, Nelson will creatively weave songs and stories together with "Just in Time,” proving his own life has truly been a cabaret.

“"Life deals from the bottom, sometimes," Joan Crawford once said. When I was in my 20s pursuing my singing career, these shows couldn't have been possible. No one knew who I was...and I didn't have the stories to tell. But the greatest collateral gift of my long TV presenting career has been a platform to pursue my other passions: travel, writing (5 books) and live theater,” states Aspen.

“Aussies who had been watching me every morning for 15 years on morning telly came out to the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2014 and the shows were hugely successful. (And yes! I am indeed "shorter in person!") That led me to a concert at the world famous Sydney Opera House and then, "Full Circle" (the name of my previous show); back to sold out runs in LA, Philadelphia, and NYC. "Just in Time" is a follow up to that and, now in my Mid 50s, I feel like I'm finally hitting my stride both personally and professionally,” he explains.
