The North Carolina On-Site Hair and Makeup Artist Summit is an annual gathering of on-site beauty business professionals. We are passionate about equipping, supporting, and connecting independent on-site hair and makeup artists in NC, so we can work in freedom and fullness in our passions.
Our main goal is to create an authentic, restful, and encouraging environment to connect with our colleagues in person, develop industry standards, raise up community over competition, and to uplift and help each other as we gear up for another year in business. We will have workshops, Q&A panels, relaxed networking time, powerful speakers, and awesome swag bags! Continuing education credit can be applied. Whether you have been in the business for 10+ years or are hoping to get started soon - whether you do bridal, editorial, film, or session work - if you pack up a beauty kit and show up on site to do work, this event is for you!
Think of it as our niche industry huddle-up, a family meeting, a much-needed retreat and getaway, and an educational workshop event all rolled into a beautiful two-day gathering, created just for you. Re-center, re-callibrate, and fill up your cup before the 2019 season takes off! Community is truly better than competition, and presense is better than perfection. Come as you are!

This two-day event will include dozens of workshop classes for you to choose from to attend throughout both days. Choose your own path through the event to personalize it to your specific needs! We will also have speakers and Q&A panels to enjoy all together. You'll receive a fully stocked, reusable swag bag filled with goodies from our amazing sponsors! Class topics will range everywhere from heart to business: hands-on workshops for hair and makeup, classes covering the basics of filling your kit, sanitizing, and creating a contract, creating work-life balance, how to build a team, getting back to your "why", regaining confidence after burnout, goal-setting, and SO much more. We will have yummy snacks provided throughout, and a COCKTAIL HOUR with a BEAUTY STEAM BAR at the end of Day 1 so we can all unwind and hang out! We will have coffee & small breakfast items available at the venue for on both days, and lunch and dinner can be whatever you'd like to find close by (Go out with new friends or get some alone time during meals - we won't judge!) Lunch is provided on Day 2, so we can round out our time together!
THE FINE DETAILS
We have General Admission tickets for $200, One-day only tickets for $135, and a Group Rate for teams of 5 or more for $120/each. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A BRAND OR BUSINESS - it is a collective of business owners, and WE DO NOT TAKE A PROFIT from the event sales. The funds are used to put on the event, thank our teachers and panelists, pay for the venue, and add beautiful goodies along the way. Any money left over will be used to fund the next event and offer scholarships in the future. Tickets and Full Refunds are available up until 7 days prior to the event.

FOOD:
We will have coffee and breakfast items available at the venue both days. We will also have yummy, fun snacks throughout the day both days! Lunch and dinner on Day 1 are not provided, but we will provide a cocktail hour at the end of Day 1 to wind down and connect with everyone in a relaxed environment! We will enjoy lunch all together (provided) at McAlister-Leftwich to end our event on Monday afternoon!
