Don't miss the exciting season finale of extraordinary music featuring genres from classical to contemporary to pop/rock, including the world premiere of Alexander Goldstein's Introspective Trio. A true crossover work, the composition marries the classical trio to multi-track computer audio playback and high-definition video effects, evoking both the Disco Era and the mega-rock sensibility of groups such as Queen. The composer of this brilliant genre-bender will be NCE's special guest for this premiere event.
Music and dance unite as NCE and the Bowen McCauley Dance Company premiere a new work set to music of Igor Stravinsky and the stunning choreography of Lucy Bowen McCauley. Stravinsky's Suite Italienne is based on the composer's charming ballet Pulcinella- which was in turn a transformation of the works of early eighteenth-century Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, our first composer of this season! It is one of Stravinsky's most popular works.
"We are so excited to present this original program that travels across musical genres and presents new artistic and technical challenges which will be exciting to see, hear and experience for both the artists and audience." Leo Sushansky, Artistic Director
The music of Samuel Barber and Victor Herbert completes the program. Don't miss the exciting conclusion to our Musical Adventures Through The Time Machine!
