PRE-JOB EXPO WORKSHOPS
Attendance is required at ALL THREE SESSIONS to qualify for VIP entrance to the Expo. Attend all three workshops to prepare you for interview opportunities at the Expo. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required for the workshops.
1. Resume, Cover Letter, and Elevator Speech | Tuesday, September 18 | 2 - 4 PM | Presidio Springs, 721 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara
Designed to help job seekers create a winning resume, cover letter, interview follow-up letter(s), and create your personal elevator pitch. We will answer the top ten interview questions and demonstrate how to create a targeted resume.
2. Interviewing Skills Workshop | Thursday, September 20 | 2 - 4 PM | Presidio Springs, 721 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara
Designed to help job seekers prepare for an interview setting. Presenters will discuss appearance, presentation, communication, and common interview tips and strategies.
3. Mock Interview | Monday, September 24 | 2 - 4 PM | Presidio Springs, 721 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara
Come dressed and prepared as if it were an actual interview! Job seekers will also have the opportunity to mock interview with a panel of experts who will offer real-time feedback to help build skills and confidence.
Workshops will begin promptly at 2 PM. Please plan for additional time to look for parking and to walk to Presidio Springs. Street parking is limited to ONLY 75 or 90 minutes. There will be a 10 - 15 designated free spots behind the Employment Development Department (EDD)/Workforce Resource Center at 130 E. Ortega Street. Parking in any other spots will be towed. There is paid public parking at Lobero and Ortega Garages.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can bring a printed copy or from your mobile device.
Do I have to attend the workshops?
No, you don't have to but what you gain from attending them will be invaluable.
Do I have to attend all 3 workshops even if I already have a resume or I don't think I need any practice with interviews?
Yes, if you would like to secure a VIP entrance to the Expo, you will need to attend the 3 workshops regardless of whether you already have the information provided at the workshops or not.
What does VIP entrance mean?
VIP entrance will include an easily identifiable badge to employers indicating that you have completed all 3 workshops and guaranteed receipt of an Expo swag bag.
If I want to register more than 1 person, do I have to register each person individually?
