When: Every Tuesday from April 29th - June 2nd from 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.

***Must be able to attend all 6 sessions to the best of your ability (If unable to attend one of the sessions, you must let the instructor know prior to the class)

Limited space- Small group of 8 women per 6 week session ( if space fills up and you feel you need this support, please email nahmed@mhadallas.org)

Participant Requirements:

  • Women only
  • Must be anywhere between 1 months pregnant- 12 months postpartum. Seasoned mothers of multiple children are welcome as long as they've recently had a baby within the last 12 months.

***Babies are welcome to attend with mothers

*** Breastfeeding and Breast-pump friendly

Meetings are held online through Zoom

Please be sure that you have a device to engage through video or phone call to join this group. A reliable internet connection is also required. All corresponding materials will be sent via email.

We will be collecting data about your mood, social support and other topics through a series of surveys before and upon completion of the 6 week session. All data collected is private, confidential, and secure

Mothers and Babies Course is a program that reduces stress and promotes healthy mood management. The program focuses on:

  • Tools and support for pregnant and new moms to help manage stress
  • Promoting healthy bonding with baby
  • Promoting healthy communication and social support
  • Techniques and activities to help babies learn

Using the Mothers and Babies program materials, you will learn:

  1. Ways to think about and interact with your baby to create an emotionally and physically healthy reality for him or her.
  2. Helpful information about your pregnancy and your baby’s development.
  3. Ways to manage life stress and improve your mood so:
  • You can feel better and enjoy life more.
  • You can teach your baby how to manage life stress as he or she grows up.
  • You can avoid mood problems such as depression.
