Monthly Neighborhood Association Meeting-7pm-

The Ole Asheboro Street Neighborhood Association meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7pm. We meet in the Nettie Coad Apts located at 503 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Parking and Entrance is in the back and can be accessed from Bragg St.

Recent Activities:

Community Garden: Plots are still available for fall/winter planting. We meet about 3 weeks ago and planted spinach, broccoli, kale and collards.

Community Yard Sale: Scheduled through out the year (on Saturdays) at the Old Flour Mill location on Elm Street.

National Night Out: Participates annually held in August

Community Block Parties: Sponsored with a grant from the Neighborhood Congress- held in 2 different locations-Food, games, music and fellowship.

Advocacy: Current efforts are aimed at development projects in and around our community. Attends Redevelopment Commission and City Council Meetings.
