A thought-provoking class, where students continue to learn how to use different mediums to create contemporary art pieces. Intermediate Mixed Media is a fun and inventive class, a time for students to explore while discovering how to use paper, fabric, recycled materials, mark making, stencils, pastels, and more, together with paint to create your next masterpiece!?
Great class for creative thinking, whether youre a representational or an abstract painter.
?Supply List: ??(come prepared with a palette of any kind and quality paper towels, like Blue Shop Towels or Viva)
papers: printed, text, script, floral, plain, colors, textures, wall paper, tissue paper, corrugated cardboard, deli paper, magazine images, ephemeraPAPERS!
paints: acrylic paints, fluid, heavy body...your preference of type and color scheme
mediums: soft gel medium, liquid matte or gloss medium, glazing liquid
brushes: used to apply mediums & paint / color shapers, chip brush
silicone bowl scraper
gesso: white (black if you have it)
substrate: 16x20 canvases (or as large as youre comfortable with), birch board or water color paper primed with gesso hands: dont be afraid to use your fingers
Optional Supplies:
gelli mono printing plate
stencils, stamps
sand paper: 100 / 120 grit
hand sanitizer to remove paint
mark making tools to add texturebubble wrap, corrugated cardboard, drywall tape, bamboo skewers, burlaptoo many to list here.
Whatever you have that will leave marks or create texture in your artbring it!
