Whether you already have a meditation practice or you’d like to cultivate one, most people find that meditating in community strengthens their practice. If the idea of being part of a meditation sangha is appealing to you, whether you have a practice or not currently, please consider joining the 365 Mindful meditation sitting group.
We’ll come together monthly to practice together, share our experiences, and learn new practices. Our focus will be on mindfulness meditation. Meditations and discussions will support clarifying intentions toward embodying spirituality, deepening presence, acceptance, and awareness, and the practical matter of building a positive practice habit while being supported by a community. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
The group will be led by Stacey Guenther, who was has been teaching mindfulness since 2010. She currently teaches a 3-credit course at George Mason called Meditation, Mindfulness, and Stress Management, and is completing mindfulness meditation teacher certification training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She’s committed to this path, which has been transformational for her.
