The Impact of Military Sexual Trauma on Military Families


Come join us as we discuss how military life, transition and the invisible wounds of war impact military families. Dialogue with the faith community on care and support of military families, and receive training on Military Family 101 and an overview of FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress).

In addition to Military Family 101 training and an overview of FOCUS, each session will revolve around a unique discussion topic. For this session, we will be discussing Military Sexual Trauma and the impact it has on military families.

What are the learning objectives associated with the CEUs offered?

The learning objectives are as follows:

  • Provide a collaborative framework for faith communities and mental health providers to work together in support of the unique needs of Military Families

  • Dialogue with the faith community about care and support of Military Families in their local community

  • Increase awareness on the impact of military life, transition and invisible wounds of war in Military Families

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is located at 1640 W. Jackson Blvd. From the parking garage, cross the sky bridge and enter the building on the left (another sky bridge). Take the elevators down to the basement and make a right.
