Taking place this June, the BIO international convention is one of the largest and most prestigious international Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical partnering events in the world. In recognition of the Midlands expertise in the sector, the Midlands Engine is taking a trade delegation to BIO 2017.

Cost, Eligibility and Grants

A commitment fee of £250 + VAT is applicable for each organisation. Any extra delegates from the same organisation wishing to participate will be charged an additional £100 + VAT per delegate.

Financial support of £1,000 is available for those companies in the Midlands Engine area who meet the required eligibility criteria as detailed on the application form.  To secure an offer for financial support, companies should complete and return the application form asap.

*IMPORTANT: Please note that delegates wishing to receive the financial support available to eligible companies must purchase conference access or conference access with partnering. Proof of the purchase of the pass will be required prior to financial support payment being processed.

Monday 19 June
AM - Exhibition opening ceremony
DAY - Exhibition opens to delegates. Companies to pursue business objectives and partnering meetings. Delegates will also have exclusive use of the Midlands Engine room and refreshments.  Delegates may hold meetings at the meeting area located on the Department for International Trade stand. Midlands Engine delegates will have access to the screen on the Midlands Engine exhibition stand to use for presentations. This is limited to 1 hour per company.
PM - Midlands Engine delegation informal meal.
Tuesday 20 June
DAY - Companies to pursue business objectives and pre-arranged partnering meetings. Delegates will also have exclusive use of the Midlands Engine room and refreshments.  Delegates may hold meetings at the meeting area located on the Department for International Trade stand. 
PM - Networking event at UK Pavilion for UK delegates.
Wednesday 21 – Thursday 22 June
DAY - Companies to pursue business objectives and pre-arranged partnering meetings. Delegates will also have exclusive use of the Midlands Engine room and refreshments.  Delegates may hold meetings at the meeting area located on the Department for International Trade stand. 
Friday 23 June
Continue with visit or return to UK.
