Merengue with a TWIST Workshop

Merengue, a couple dance originating in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Merengue is a combination of two dances, the African and the French Minuet, from the late 1700 s - early 1800 s. It s a relatively easy social partner dance where you step all 8 beats also knowns as a full count rhythm.
Our focus is always teaching our students how to have fun with dancing. We will put a twist to make this another level of fun and learning. The leads will learn to follow and the follows to lead. We will take turns in each role.
The warm up will include body movement and fun steps to the beat of the music.
