In this 7 week series we will use the "Chakras" as a foundation for our meditation practice. The word chakra in Sanskrit translates roughly to "wheel" in English. The chakras correspond to areas in the body where thousands of channels of life energy intersect, spin and connect. Each week will focus on a one of the seven main chakras that run along the spine. We will learn a bit about the location and characteristics of each chakra and Angela Stewart Yoga will lead a meditation practice that supports these qualities.
Seasoned meditators and new beginners alike are welcome to come and revisit basics, experience new techniques and explore the benefits of meditating in a group setting. Come for just one week or attend every session to find what resonates most for your own practice.
YES! Your class passes will work for this class and/or you can pay the regular drop in fee $12. You might follow your meditation practice with $8 Yoga for Beginners with Diana Shepard at 6:30pm.
