For the McCrary Sisters, music is a birthright, a lifelong love affair, a sometimes career, an indescribable joy, and occasionally, a cross to bear. The daughters of the late Rev. Samuel McCrary -- who was one of the original members of the legendary gospel quartet, The Fairfield Four -- were raised in a household of harmony. Most recently, The McCrary Sisters have become Americana stars, recording and touring regularly with gospel-rock powerhouse Mike Farris (who won the Emerging Artist Award at the 2008 Americana Music Awards and the 2010 Dove Award for Best Traditional Album for “Shout!," recorded at Nashville’s Station Inn). The McCrary Sister’s critically-acclaimed debut release “Our Journey” was released on their father’s birthday in 2010 and captures the journey that each of these women have taken throughout their lives. The new album features help from friends Tommy Sims, Buddy Miller, MIke Farris, Patty Griffin and others.
