It all started in 1996 with their debut album "Yourself or Someone Like You" breaking through the US and crossing international borders via the singles radio-friendly singles “Push,” “3AM,” and “Real World”, which cut and shaped Matchbox 20's smash hit-ridden career with a 12× Platinum or Diamond record award. From there, it was a "Mad Season" career run as the band spawned a succession of monster hits such as "Bent", "If You're Gone", "Disease", "Unwell", and many more.
Twenty years on, Matchbox Twenty announced this as their banner year and claiming this as year "Matchbox Twenty 2020", where a celebration is in order, and their fiercely loyal fans expect nothing but to drown in euphoria of hearing all these hits live under one roof.
"Half of us realizes we're in the hospitality industry: It's our job to make sure people have a good time," Thomas says. "The other half is just playing music we enjoy playing together."
Rob Thomas adds, “I’m proud to be a part of the greatest pop rock band in the world and I can’t wait to play with them again. Stepping on stage with Matchbox and sharing those songs with the fans feels as natural as breathing to me at this point.”
