From 10 AM to noon on most Tuesdays and Thursdays in July, we'll have parent/self-guided learning stations where your children can have hands-on fun and take their projects home with them. There will also be 6 new or updated Jr. Ag Spots throughout the Museum including a Summer Reading Spot and a fun new Chicken activity in the Livestock Room! This is a wonderful opportunity to help your children learn more about agriculture and spend some quality time together. While Make It Take It is free, signing up for a ticket is recommended to ensure there are enough supplies for all children.

Make It Take It Activities Schedule:

July 2nd - Make a cotton potholder and learn about the cotton and wool industry in Florida. In addition you can plant sunflowers and learn about the life cycle of a plant.

July 9th - Create a pompom caterpillar and plant wildflowers as you learn about the life cycle of butterflies and the importance of native wildflowers in ensuring healthy pollinators.

July 11th - Make a cow mask and learn about dairies as well as having planting a grass person.

July 16th - Plant beans and learn how they grow. Then create a fish puppet and learn about our native aquarium critters.

July 18th - It's all about the flowers! You can plant sunflowers and create your own adorable pipe cleaner flower that will never die.
