Join Community and Neighborhood Improvement Project (CNIP), Friends of the Major Taylor Trail (FOMTT), Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago (MTC3) and Out Our Front Door (OOFD) as they lead volunteers at the Major Taylor Trail Park Earth Day Clean-Up! The Major Taylor Trail is Chicago's second longest bike trail, traversing 5 communities and connecting Dan Ryan Woods to Whistler Woods in Riverdale.
Friends of the Parks' Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean Up and Celebration began 29 years ago as a way to engage communities in their local parks and forest preserves. Today, FOTP partners with a multitude of other groups both local and city-wide including: Friends of the Forest Preserves, Openlands, Active Transportation Alliance, Southeast Environmental Task force, The Calumet Collective.
Your Earth, Your Legacy: 29th Annual Earth Day Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9AM to Noon, in parks and preserves throughout the Chicago area. From Noon to 2PM there will be a celebration at Humboldt Park (including lunch, games, and activities for all ages)!
