Students will learn the techniques necessary to make machined half blind dovetail joints and through dovetails. The half blind joint is most commonly used in drawer construction. Through dovetails are used for box construction. Although the class will use the Rockler Dovetail Jig, the differences with the Porter Cable Dovetail Jig and Leigh Dovetail Jig, will be discussed. Each student will be given the opportunity to set up and practice each joint. All materials are included. Students are required to provide their own safety glasses and hearing protection.
