Luncheon Reception for Cassandra King Conroy

Cassandra King Conroy, the author of novels such as The Queen of Broken Hearts and The Same Sweet Girls, was for years part of a royal couple of South Carolina letters. Her husband Pat Conroy was the author of bestsellers such as The Prince of Tides and The Great Santini. After his death in 2016, King put together a posthumous book called A Lowcountry Heart: Reflections on a Writing Life, a mix of Conroy’s essays and blog posts. This fall, she’ll be coming out with her own memoir of her life before and with Conroy. We’ll get the exclusive treat of hearing all about her new book. Each guest will receive a copy of A Lowcountry Heart, which she will sign. 

Lunch and the reception will take place overlooking the marshes of the Intercoastal waterway and a glorious view of Charleston’s iconic Ravenel Bridge. We’ll be in the home of a NextTriber who lives on Sullivan’s Island, which will give you the chance to see inside one of the spectacular island homes.
