At least 7 of the songs draw directly from papers written by Hamilton himself, including Washington’s Farewell Address, The Federalist Papers, the Hamilton/Jefferson debate on the National Bank, and the Hamilton/Madison debate on the Statement of Neutrality in the “quasi-war” between France and England. Other songs explore themes of liberty, education, right to revolution, immigration, and more.
