Join scissor wizards and razor experts Wes Sharpton, Beau Bollinger, and Holly Seidel @hollygirldoeshair for the next stop on our tour.
This informal, inspirational evening less a look-and-learn and more of a touch-and-talk to showcase excellence in cutting, and to spread the Hairstory love to hairdressers in the “family” (and meet those who’d like to be). Bring a friend in the industry!
Beau Bollinger
After working as a Hairstory ambassador for three of his fifteen years in our industry, Beau founded Hairstory Studio Dallas as an experimental collective of independent hairdressers and has been named “Dallas’ go-to guy for cool hair.” Obsessed with all things hair even as a young boy, Beau describes his process as finding personality through hair, seeing the inner best part of people, and revealing what was already there. He creates cuts that give clients the luxury of wash-and-wear hair with game-changing confidence.
Wes Sharpton
Wes is lead haircutter at Hairstory in New York and started doing hair at 19 in Lawrence, Kansas where his cuts for the GetUp Kids appeared in Rolling Stone magazine and sparked the fulfillment of a dream of moving to New York and Bumble and bumble where he was mentored by Michael Gordon, assisted editorial stylist Laurent Philippon, and gave haircuts to clients from downtown kids to beauty editors. His work is not based on hiding imperfections or adhering to rules of face shapes, but rather flattering unique features and enhancing natural, innate beauty.
Holly Seidel
As a teenager, Holly was influenced by the punk rock, goth, and grunge kids who opened her up to worlds beyond the Seattle Youth Symphony where she played violin, which she credits with taking so easily to razor cutting. Today, Holly uses both razor and scissor to craft effortless, Bohemian, French-girl, and edgier rock ‘n’ roll inspired looks, working with all hair lengths and textures. Holly's education includes The Art Institute of Seattle; Gene Juarez; Vidal Sassoon; Bumble & Bumble where she met mentor Corinna Hernandez; Nick Arrojo; Pony Studios, and Wella World Studios. Her French bobs appeared last year in Modern Salon, and Allure.
