25th Long Beach Crawfish Festival
July 27-29, 2018
$5 Friday • $13 Saturday/Sunday General Admission
Savor the flavor of New Orleans as it comes to Sothern California.
New Orleans’ most exquisite flavors are heading out West to fill up the world’s largest crawfish pots. These crimson-colored, freshwater crustaceans are undoubtedly the stars of this festival. Master Chefs will prepare true, Louisiana-style crawfish along with Cajun potatoes, corn on the cob, and tangy remoulade dipping sauce. They are more tender than Lobsters and have a unique flavor.
You’re also sure to stumble upon a wide selection of New Orleans’s most iconic dishes including Café du Monde-style chicory coffee and beignets, jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice, frog legs, and bread pudding, for starters. You can also kick it up a notch with mouth-watering dishes from Rajin’ Cajun food truck, who participated in the first season of The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network Channel. Once you’ve licked your plate(s) clean, plan to wash it all down with a mean margarita, fresh beer, or a specialty drink known as the “Screaming Crawfish.”
The Long Beach Crawfish Festival offers loads of entertainment to get you on your feet. For starters, the Second Line Parade is a historical New Orleans tradition where people dance with a celebratory spirit. The whole weekend is stacked with an outstanding lineup of Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans-style music acts to dance to on a huge dance floor. Zydeco dance lessons regularly throughout the day. To prepare for your musical debut on the streets of the French Quarter, consider singing your heart out in the Karaoke Lounge with a live band behind you. Be sure to check out the live sports tent, children’s stage featuring a magic show as seen on America’s Got Talent, arts & crafts, and the exclusive VIP Lounge. But, don’t forget to get your FREE Souvenir E-Photo that is included in general admission to capture your NOLA experience.
