Synopsis: When a shooting occurs at a high school twenty minutes away, the students of a nearby public school go into a Code Yellow: lockdown. Set two years in the future, this new play explores our desensitization to tragedy through the eyes of theatre kids, and what we can learn from young people about friendship, connection, strength, and empathy, even when fear is standing right in front of us.

Box Office Info: All of our tickets are, as always, free. We ask that you reserve a ticket in advance, as seats fill up quickly! We'd love for you to join us for this beautiful, student-written piece.

Doors open at 7 pm and show starts at 7:30. If you have any questions, please contact LAB!'s Box Office Manager, Kayla Brown, at labtheatreboxoffice@gmail.com.

Parking Options:

Parking avaliability at UNC can often change if there is another event occuring on campus the evening of the show, and unfortunately, we are often unaware of these events in advance. Due to potential unforeseen circumstances, we ask our patrons to allow themselves ample time to find parking. The following options are avaliable when there are no preventative circumstances:

Cobb Deck: Parking is free in Cobb Deck  (Paul Green Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514) after 5PM during the week and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Cobb is the most convienent parking deck, located directly behind the Center for Dramatic Arts.

Raleigh Road Visitor Lot: The Raleigh Road Visitor Lot is  a short walking distance, located at the corner of Country Club Drive and Raleigh Road (which turns into South Road at the intersection). It is also free after 5PM during the week, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Street Parking (Country Club Drive): There is also some paid street parking avaliable in front of the Center for Dramatic Arts along Country Club Drive that accepts quarters at the meter, or can also be paid for via the Park Mobile App. Street parking is free after 9PM during the week, and all day on Saturday and Sundays.

Where should I enter the building? And how will I find the studio once I'm inside?

Typically, the front glass doors to the Center for Dramatic Arts are locked after 5PM if there is not a Playmakers show in performance. The best way to enter the building is to go through the back entrance, which if coming from Cobb Parking Deck, will be the entrance you see when walking to the building from the deck. For those facing the glass front doors go to your right to walk around the buiding. As you walk around the buiding you will see stairs (and a ramp who may have difficulty with the stairs) to walk down to this entrance. Directly inside, is a hallway of studio classrooms. Studio 104 is the the fourth studio on the left, and there will also be a LAB! House Manager directly outside the studio to ensure you're in the right place.
