How can we flourish in life? How can we live in harmony with society and nature? How can we realize our ideals in this world without hurting others? How can we be free? These are all important questions but we don't learn them at school...

This course is a journey of discovery of the wisdom traditions of humanity, from Buddhism to Stoicism, from Plato to Egypt, with the aim of finding, and above all, applying the answers to these universal and practical questions and others.

The course revolves around three core topics: Developing ourselves (ethics), learning to live together (sociopolitics), and building the future (philosophy of history).

Topics include: Hinduism and the inner battle; Dharma, Karma and Reincarnation; What the Buddha taught; Tibetan Buddhism; Confucius and the Harmonious Society; How to Live Together; Plato's Cave; The Practical Wisdom of the Stoics; Justice in Ancient Egypt; The Hero's Journey; Mythology and Symbolism; The Cycles of Time in Ancient Cultures; And more.

Classes include the practice of concentration, attention, memory, habits, intelligence, willpower, and more.

Course classes will take place weekly on Thursdays from 7 pm - 9 pm (with break), starting June 18th.

*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this open class will take place online unless indicated otherwise. Join us on ZOOM on Sunday 06/14/20 at 11 am.
