Are you a fan of the slimy and slithery?
Creepy and crawly?

Or just curious to meet some of your animal neighbors?

Visit The Nat to meet our regions not-so-cuddly residents in Living Lab.

The Nat has a Vivariuma facility in which we care for our live animalsin the basement of the Museum. Were bringing these animals out and into the public gallery as part of our brand-new exhibition located on Level 1 just off the Atrium. Living Lab showcases everything from the stinging and scaly to the fuzzy and flesh-eating, including an impressive red diamond rattlesnake, an observation bee hive, a Gila monster, several centipedes and arachnids, and more.

COVID-19 update: temporary closure

We have made the difficult decision to close The Nat to the public until further notice. We realize closures like these can feel ominous, but we see it as an act of solidaritya collective effort to protect our most vulnerable populations.

Our museum doors may be closed, but our work will not stop. As we speak:

Our scientists are in the field working to protect and conserve wildlife.

Our educators are working on resources they can use online to keep learning going.

Our teams are still planning exciting new projects for later in the year that will bring you an even closer understanding of our natural world.

Stay tuned. Stay in touch. The natural world does not stop, and neither do we.
