This fight will be a clash of the generations when Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman contest for the WBA World Welterweight title at MGM Grand Saturday, July 20, live stream on PBC on FOX PPV (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).

Manny Pacquiao, 40, 61–7–2 (39 KOs) turned pro in January 1995, and Thurman (29–0, 22 KOs) was only six at the time. Ten years separate these two welterweight champions. But this is not uncommon. Here is a look back at five classic fights when a young fighter took on an older great welterweight champion.

Undefeated WBA Super World Welterweight Champion Keith “One Time” Thurman is this week’s guest on The PBC Podcast. This is not a question that would have been asked just one fight ago in the career of the unbeaten Thurman, but those injuries coupled with all that time out of action might just have taken far more out of the WBA champ than at first thought. Thurman had plenty to say regarding the welterweight division, and his upcoming clash versus the legendary Manny Pacquiao Saturday, July 20.

Pacquiao, despite not being able to register too Manny KO’s or stoppages these days (just one since 2009) can still pump out plenty of punches through all 12 rounds and he is still very fast on his feet. It would be one big win for Pacquiao, a man who has already accomplished so much but still wants more. While if Thurman can get the win, his own stock will rise again. Whoever wins on July 20th, will we see a KO or a distance fight?

The undercard will feature two unbeaten. Caleb Plant (18–0, 10 KOs) makes the first defense of his IBF super middleweight belt against Mike Lee (21–0, 11 KOs).
