About your speakers

Daniel Cortez

Daniel Cortez spent the last 15 years overcoming illness, re-examining everything he thought he knew about health, wellness, and performance. While ill, he finally realized that conventional medicine had no answers to his health problems. He was obsessed with turning his life around. He learned everything he could about evolutionary biology, anthropology, nutrition, functional medicine, and human movement.  He also became one of the first Wim Hof Method Instructors in North America.  Eventually, he won his battle with chronic illness after traveling to Peru to study the traditional indigenous use of psychedelic plant medicine. His current practice is informed by his experience and fueled by his desire to guide others to become the hero of their own journey using the knowledge and tools learned through my suffering.  He now guides clients with an uncommon combination of wellness modalities, pulling extensively from evolutionary science, modern psychology, and ancestral wisdom. He currently coaches a small group of 1-on-1 clients online and in-person and teaches workshops and retreats internationally.  He resides in Cusco, Peru where he helps clients with the “integration” of their psychedelic experiences and studies traditional Shamanic medicine.

PJ Glassey

PJ started his biohacking journey in 1987, when he began developing the exercise methodology X Gym uses today. He set out to invent a faster, safer, high intensity style exercise, but with superior results to traditional methods. Through a decade of research and development, using his own personal training clients and test subjects, PJ created a safe, effective and efficient high intensity exercise system, requiring only 21 minutes, twice a week, to achieve the equivalent results to about 7 hours of traditional training. His methodology grew in popularity so fast, he had to scale himself by opening the X Gym. Now he also has a worldwide online remote personal training branch and a Phone App for people to use whenever and wherever they want, through the convenience of their phones. PJ has also invented dozens of pieces of exercise equipment for use in his gym and with his online and app members.

PJ is a researcher first and foremost, spending hours each day finding and studying the latest studies in exercise science, nutrition science, health science and brain science. His passion for brain science was fully ignited when his mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in the year 2000. From his extensive studies in the field, he has developed additional brain training techniques to help people find their own custom shortcuts to get past mental barriers and find the motivation to succeed in their health and fitness goals. It's not about willpower or self-discipline. It's about hacking into and rewiring the brain to think and act like a fit, healthy person, so permanent, lifelong change happens with much less effort.
