Small Group Tour Library of Congress
Join our small group outside of the Library of Congress at the corner of First Street SE and Independence Avenue SE. We will first take a look at the outside of this beautiful building including the iconic Italian styled fountain. After going inside through security, we will see the Great Hall and the many murals that have been viewed by generations of dignitaries, researchers, and Washington DC visitors.
When we go upstairs we will step into the overlook to look into the Reading Room, and view Thomas Jefferson’s Book Collection exhibit. Our group goes beyond what you expect by spending more time in the exhibit halls, discussing additional murals, seeing early American Maps, and the Gutenberg and Mainz bibles.
We will also go into the lower level to see The Gershwin Room, Bob Hope Gallery, and Graphic Arts Gallery. After seeing Bob Hope’s Joke Book, this is where our tour ends. With you finally knowing more about the statues, murals, and different collections found at the Library of Congress.
