The Golden Rules

Employment law is typically divided into two primary categories: (1) Wage & Hour and (2) Discrimination & Harassment. This presentation will provide a broad overview of the key concepts every employer must be aware of in connection with these issues.

There are three Golden Rules we all learned as kids, which should guide us in our employment practices today:

• Treat others as you want to be treated - in wages, scheduling and work environment
• Keep your hands to yourself - do not steal wages from employees and do not touch anyone in the workplace
• If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all - in your surroundings and work environment
