LGBTQ+ TOWN HALL

The LGBTQ+ Town Hall will be held on Thursday, October 18th, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the Presidential Reception Room on the Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University. The event, funded by a grant from GLAAD and Delta Airlines, is designed to connect LGBTQ+ students and young people with critical issues facing the LGBTQ+ community- including anti-discrimination legislation, immigration, healthcare, education equality, and housing reform- prior to the 2018 midterm elections. Panelists will be aske questions by the moderator, and the audience will have the oppertunity to interact and share their perspectives. Refreshments will be provided.

We will be joined by speakers from organizations like the Tyler Clementi Foundation, GLSEN, Connecticut Students for a Dream, GLAAD, professors at Western Connecticut State University and more! *Notable political speakers to be announced!* 

This event is free and open to the public! Optional donations can be made to GLAAD, the nation's largest LGBTQ+ media organization.
