After years of not being tall enough I finally got to go the summer Riverview closed. I will never forget the feeling of the drop! I vowed to never ride it ever again, not realizing it would be torn down completely : (

Such a big part of my childhood… I have so many memories of Riverview. This sounds like a lot of fun and i'm excited to be a part of this

How about a "new" Riverview in the 10th Ward on the Southeast Side, where the steel mills used to be? Accessible by car or Metra, close to Indiana as well as the south suburbs, could become a great alternative to Great America up north. Update the classic rides with today's technology but avoid nasty stuff like the "African Dip.". Guaranteed moneymaker I tell ya!

Riverview on the southside?....LOL!

Sorry it wouldn't work. Some of the same problems that plagued the park towards the end would still be a problem today. To be honest there is too much violence on the Southside and it would find the park

Dane - A new park would have enough security measures to "keep away the riffraff" while providing family-friendly entertainment to paying customers. Remember, back in the 60's - 80's New York's Times Square was a high-crime district; now it has theatres that present Disney musicals. Change is possible.
