Welcome to the Lending Circles program! You’re now ready to join a Lending Circle and start working towards your financial goal – whether it’s building your credit or building your savings?

What are Lending Circles?

Lending Circles is a social loan program for everyday people to start building their credit, pay down high-cost debt, and get the money they need. Qualified Applicants receive a 0% interest, credit building loan.

How does it work?

At the Formation, you will form your Lending Circles groups.

• you’ll decide on a Lending Circle name
• you’ll decide on a monthly payment amount between $50-$200
• you’ll draw your number from a raffle, and this will decide when you receive your loan

If you have not done so yet, you must first fill out an application online at LendingCircles.org online or in person at the MAF Office.

What do I need to apply?

You will need the following application requirements:

• valid email address
• valid government-issued photo ID
• Social Security Number or ITIN 
• voided check from your checking account or direct deposit form
• proof of household income
• take an online financial class prior to joining a Lending Circle group
• complete a survey
