The panel includes guests such as Senior Field Representative Cesar Gomez and Field Representative Tiffany Tran from the Office of Assemblymember Jose Medina, District Director Tyler Madary from the Office of Senator Richard D. Roth, and District Director Rachel Gonzaga from the Office of Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes. The seminar will delve into the details of working in government and how legislative aides help alleviate problems in the Inland Empire.  Bios Tiffany Tran is a Field Representative for California State Assemblymember Jose Medina, who represents the 61st Assembly District. This District encompasses the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris, and Mead Valley. As a Field Representative, Tiffany serves as a liaison between the Assemblymember and local businesses, government agencies, community organizations and constituents. It’s important that professional relationships between other elected officials, community stakeholders, and residents are cultivated and maintained to ensure the District is run smoothly and effectively. Tiffany’s issue policies include foster – youth advocacy, labor and employment, higher education, workforce development and more. Prior to working in the District Office, Tiffany worked for Riverside County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries and later started as a Fellow in the California State Capitol. Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside.Cesar Gomez is a Senior Field Representative for California State Assemblymember Jose Medina, who represents the 61st Assembly District in the State Capitol; this includes the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, and Perris. There, Cesar serves as a liaison between the Assemblymember and local businesses, government agencies, community organizations and constituents. This includes attending events, hearings and meetings onbehalf of the member; assisting constituents in their issues with state agencies; monitoring and updating the members on local issues. Most importantly, Cesar assesses issues that might require legislative action, including within his policy issue areas and city. Through this position, Cesar’s goal is to connect constituents with their elected officials and informing them about the numerous services they can provide aside from legislative action. Prior to working as an intern and Field Representative for Assemblymember Medina, Cesar served as a data clerk for Xavier Becerra’s Congressional campaign and an intern in his Congressional District Office. Cesar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside and a Certificate in Community Leadership from the University of La Verne. Cesar was born and raised in Boyle Heights, a neighborhood within the City of Los Angeles. Tyler Madary is the District Director for Senator Richard D. Roth, who represents State Senate District 31 in western Riverside County, and he has served with Senator Roth for nearly seven years.  Tyler is a graduate of UC Riverside’s Master of Public Policy Inaugural Cohort and is a Manny Rice Scholar. Tyler’s policy interests include transportation, housing, economic development, and the environment. Rachel Gonzaga currently serves as District Director for Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, 60th District. She previously served as a Senior Field Representative for Assemblymember Jose Medina. Prior to working for the California Legislature, Rachel worked for the U.S. House of Representatives in the District Office for then-Congressman Xavier Becerra, now Attorney General. Prior to her public service, she worked for the California Voter Registration Project, where she helped register over 20,000 individuals in Riverside County. She currently serves on the Chancellor’s Chicano/Latino Affairs Advisory Committee and as an Advisory Board member for Women Wonder Writers, a nonprofit providing life skills and mentorship to at-risk youth through arts and self-expression. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s (’11) and Master’s Degree in Public Policy (’17) from the University of California, Riverside (UCR). She is a lifelong resident of the Inland Empire and the proud daughter of immigrants.
