Leslie S. Marell, J.D. has been practicing business and commercial law since her admission to the California Bar in 1976. Ms. Marell is established in private practice specializing in providing legal services to the manufacturing, industrial and high technology industries. She has authored periodic legal topic columns for Electronics Buyers' News and has been the "Legal Briefs" coordinator for NAPM/Insights magazine. Ms. Marell has spent over fifteen years counseling companies in technology, distribution and computer law. Her experience includes corporate counsel for Avnet, Inc. as well as Hughes Aircraft Company and United Technologies Lexar.

As a result of her extensive involvement within the corporate environment and with the purchasing community, Ms. Marell brings a practical business approach to both contracting and the legal aspects of purchasing. She strongly believes that the law should not encumber the flow of business, but can be used to increase the Buyer's advantage.
