I will guide you in the art & science of self-compassion through intimate discussion, talking circles, experiential activities and quiet time. You’ll learn how self-compassion eases the suffering so common in today’s chaotic, too-fast world, practice self-kindness, open to mindfulness, and engage in the common humanity that presents when like-minded women gather together.
We will gather at 10 am in a comfortable, quiet, nurturing space in Rogers Park, close to the Loyola El Stop, and spend the day together. At midday, a homemade healthy lunch will be served by Urban Tables catering, and during our afternoon break, we’ll step outside for a breath of fresh air (weather permitting!) or stay in and move our bodies through a series of gentle stretches. We’ll end promptly at 5 pm, and spend our last hour considering ways to extend self-compassion into our everyday lives, and addressing questions that have come up throughout the day,.
