The art by June Nissinen embraces the solitude of the high desert that everyone talks about because it captures the imagination and the desire to return to its dry arid beauty.
This showing will display acrylic on canvas with scenes of the John Day River Territory. June Nissinen is also a member of the Art in the Valley gallery, as well as the Art Guild of Corvallis, Oregon.
June has had a life long passion to have a voice in the art world. That voice is expressed in the beauty of nature that is then turned into a painting. June works mainly in Golden Heavy Body Acrylics, often with imagination inspired by nature and landscape scenes. She is recently retired and now intends to pursue her art and writing full time with the goal of being established as an artist in the Corvallis community. June Nissinen currently resides in Philomath with her daughter who attends OSU Honors College.
June is a self published author of the book “Soul Link-Love Across Lifetimes,” which is based on the life & death of a tech man. at the
