// THE PROMISE IS HOPE //
Massachusetts-based husband/wife duo, The Promise is Hope first felt their musical & personal chemistry at a song swap in 2013. In 2014, they got married, released their debut album and began establishing themselves as one of New England’s finest emerging acts. Drawing from the well of life experience expressed through intimate songwriting, they present a beautifully moving, inspired & connected live performance. They were nominated 2018 'Roots Act of the Year' (New England Music Awards) after the debut of their sophomore album, Every Seed Must Die, a “soul-cleansing songs simmered in collective courage...The songwriting on this album is exceptional (No Depression).”
// MATT WHEELER //
A troubadour, a poet with a guitar, a stage banter-conversationalist - all terms that describe Matt Wheeler's music & performance style well. Matt’s songwriting paints pictures with words, often drawing inspiration from classic works of literature or simply spinning new original stories in song. Lyrics & dynamics play a key role, as each song really means something, and each one is delivered with an honesty that is compelling.
“Warm sound & heartfelt lyrics. If you are a fan of Josh Ritter give a listen to Matt!”

// ABOUT THIS HOUSE CONCERT //
Musicians all over the world have discovered, over the past several years, that it can be a challenge to find attentive, intimate audiences to share their music with. They play in crowded bars, or large venues, or sometimes empty coffeeshops, where listeners can be distracted, or there can be a limited connection between the musicians & their audience.
House concerts solve this problem.
Musicians are learning that when an audience can gather in a living room, a place where they can really relax and get comfortable, they can share more effectively & personally. They get to share stories & songs with an intimate group, and really connect more closely with listeners. And listeners get to enjoy a life-giving experience without having to go out to a crowded venue. You don't even have to take your shoes off!
- The ticket you're purchasing through this site is $10 and reserves your spot & goes directly to the musicians. It helps cover the cost of their time & travel and ensures they can continue to make music & connect with more audiences.
- If you'd prefer to pay in cash on the day of the concert, we will put out a jar by the front door where you can do so.
- The address will be emailed to you the day of the show, but will remain private until then.
