KPMA Advocacy Training

Please join us on Saturday, January 18th, 2020, from 9am - 1pm, to learn how to advocate for YOUR profession, YOUR patients, and YOUR practice.

Do you know, by name, the legislators your district chose to be a voice for YOU?  Have you personally introduced yourself to those legislators, as a constituent and as a healthcare provider?  

The American Psychiatric Association and the Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association have collarborated on a 4-hour training to help you answer "yes" to both of those questions.  

Educational Objectives:

1. Learn about the fundementals of advocacy.
2. Understand the importance of grassroots engagement and strategies in advocacy.
3. Understand the political landscape.
4. Understand pertinent state issues for psychiatry in Kentucky.

Lunch will be provided.  Please notify the office if you have any food allergies.
