Every Thursday at 3:30, kids can enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities at the library! Kids Zone programs are free and open to the public. Programs are designed with kids in grades K-5 in mind.
The first Thursday of each month is
Each program features The Bascom’s Billy Love with a different illustrated children’s book, paired with an exciting art project.
The second Thursday of each month, Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust’s Sarah Pursel and Grace McCants join the library to present
, a thoroughly interactive and fun experience for the kids. Sometimes there will even be live animals!
On the third Thursday, and any time there’s a fifth Thursday, Hudson Librarian Carlyn Morenus presents a variety of STEM programs, featuring robots, 3D pens, building sets, and other fun activities where the kids can really get hands-on with science and technology. The third Thursday also brings Paisley the reading therapy dog, who loves to have kids read to her.
The fourth Thursday each month is Lego Club. Kids get to build their own creations with Legos and Duplos, which are put on display in the library until the following Lego Club program.
