Description Calling all future architects! Do you know how to build in the desert? Take a couple of lessons from the Hohokam to figure out how to build homes, villages, and waterways using a variety of materials, both prehistoric and modern. Conduct science experiments on what materials will work best in the desert climate and why! Then use all that knowledge for a building block challenge to see if you can build a water system that will bring water to your crops and village. Kids will also be able make their very own prehistoric bricks to take home. Cost is $15; advanced registration by Jan 29. Participants should wear clothes that are ok to get dirty. Parents are invited to stay with their children during the program. Activity Secondary Category Special Interest Location Room - Classroom at Pueblo Grande Museum
