Join us in our inagural presentation of Jurisprudence and Ethics in Nursing, a 1-day training going over important topics in legal and ethical matters in Nursing.

This training will provide 6 CNE's sponsored South Texas Health System. The training will be conducted in the auditorium of McAllen Heart Hospital

The Schedule is as follows:

  • Registration: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM 
    • NOTICE: YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY ID WHEN CHECKING IN AT THE DOOR


  • Jurisprudence and Ethics: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM



  • Application of Ethics: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM


The Jurisprudence and Ethics in Nursing Training will cover the topics: 

  • Introduction to Negligence
  • Crimincal vs. Intentional Tort
  • Proportaionate/Contributory Responsibility
  • Nurse Standards of Practice & Unprofessional Conduct
  • Board Position Statements & Program Evaluation
  • Comprehensive Plan for Risk Prevention & Quality Patient Care
    • Trauma Informed Care
    • Culturally Sensitive & Relevant Care

This page is for STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS ONLY who are in an accredited nursing program or instruct in the nursing program on any level (CNA, LVN, RN), and must provide a student/staff ID when at the door after they register. 

The period for employed nurses to sign up is closed. However, if you are nurse looking for courses offering CNEs , please feel free to contact our office for a future training opportunity.
