"Mr. Joy" A Theatrical Experience

On Leap Day, CheyneyStrong will hold a three-part fundraising activity titled, "Mr. Joy" A Theatrical Experience.

This fundraising event will start with a red-carpet premier luncheon, include a silent auction with wine, beer and cheese and concludes with a dramatic presentation of "Mr. Joy" starring stage and screen actress, Debra Walton, from New York.

What happened to Mr. Joy? A Harlem community is shaken when Mr. Joy is the victim of a sudden and violent attack. Through the lens of nine of Mr. Joy's customers - all brought to life by one actress- we learn the subtly profound and unassuming impact the shop owner has had on each of their lives.
