Esteemed pianist Jonathan Biss has made Beethoven’s sonatas a cornerstone of his repertoire. In addition to embarking on a nine-year project of recording the complete sonata cycle, he authored the best-selling eBook In Beethoven’s Shadow and led the massive open online course, Exploring Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas, which attracted more than 150,000 students from 185 countries. This recital is the first of four opportunities to hear this singular artist explore one of the most important collections of works in the history of music.
